From the importer:
Meet the twins: a masterstroke of varietal blending from Chile’s winemaking legend, Aurelio Montes.
On their own, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon shine, but when paired up, these two classic varieties complement each other perfectly.
It’s a sensational double bill: wonderful richness, structure and fruit from the Cabernet, with smooth, velvety texture from the Malbec—adding up to a wine that’s greater than the sum of its parts while the oak aging contributes with subtle notes of vanilla and liqueur and its soft tannins provide an specially elegant finish.
From the winery: Purplish red color. Fruity aromas of plum, cherry with delicate hints of vanilla and chocolate. The palate is fruity and intense, with good volume. Balanced and persistent end.
Dry with a light touch of oak. The black fruit and plum flavors are dense and ripe. The body is medium with good structure and spicy fruit flavors that linger in the mouth. Try with grilled steak, pork chops or garlic kale.
From the winery: Intense and brilliant color, with violet reflections. The nose is perceived typicality of Malbec:: ripe red fruit and floral aromas. The palate entry denotes a full, soft and lush with sweet tannins and very present, has a final round with notes of cherries, sour cherries and blackberries. This impetuous varietal should be used to accompany red meat dishes (beef sausage), risotto, appetizers, pastas prepared (like ravioli), cheese (sheep).
From the vineyard: ”Intense garnet color, with purple
nuances. On the nose, the ripe red berry notes complement subtle
hints of vanilla and coconut, thanks to the careful oak ageing.
The taste shows a good full body and balance, with berry jam notes.
It is a well structured wine, with a complex and long finish.”
